Kemiföretaget Perstorp kan bli först i Sverige att tillverka biobutanol som fordonsbränsle.- Vi ska ha en process framme 2009, säger Lars Lind, affärsutvecklare av biobaserade råvaror på Perstorp.Bland konkurrenterna finns oljejätten BP.

I samarbete med bioteknikföretaget Protista i Bjuv utvecklar Perstorp sedan ett år ny teknik för att framställa biobutanol.

Jämfört med etanol har butanol flera fördelar, anser Protistas vd Hans Jungvid.
